Fun~day Friday!

It's the end of the month already....wow October has just flown by. I don't know about everyone else but I am already thinking about Thanksgiving.

So here are the details for this week's challenge: Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo. The challenge starts Friday, October 30th at 12:00 AM (eastern time) and ends Friday, November 6th at 6:00 PM (eastern time). And our theme for this week is Anything Goes!

Here is what I created using Coffee Words.

I printed two images that were slightly different in size. It's hard to see but I have the smaller one popped up over the larger one. I am trying to branch out a little in the colors I'm using. I wouldn't normally use the rust colored paper as a main color on my page but I am happy with the way it turned out.


I printed my photos for this but they were the wrong size :(  But these are the photos that will go on the layout.

This one is going in my book about me. Coffee is a basic food group in our family. I am the "coffee wimp" of the family as I need to have creamer in mine and only drink it in the morning. I have the pictures of my favorite coffee cups. The Disney set had 4 but Pooh got dropped on the tile floor:(  And of course a balanced diet is a chocolate chip cookie in each hand...lol! As for the Longaberger mug, I just love the size of it and snowflakes.

Fun~day Friday!

I can't believe it's Friday already...where did this week go??? And to top it off we are almost at the end of October already...yikes! But thanks so much for taking time to stop by :)

I chose the Halloween sign from Limited Runs for my project this week. I thought it could really be used in a lot of different projects from cards to scrapbook layouts and even to cut it out for a 3-D project. I had a tough time coloring the bird since the crows are black but I think he came out ok using the COPICs black and various grey colors. And the papers are from another 6x6 pack I have.

Simply Saturday has Swapped!

I think swaps are a great way to build your selection of cards! Not to mention get great ideas. I belong to a fabulous Yahoo group and once or twice a year we do some type of a card swap.

Here are the swaps we did a few months ago...and before you think there is nothing simple about these...remember I choose which swaps to participate in and only made 4 different cards but now have28 different cards!

Fun~day Friday

The cooler weather is starting to settle in...no more warm, sun-baked days. But so far it's not too chilly :)  But I do love the way the leaves turn and the landscape all around becomes such a beautiful array of colors.

I choose the adorable digi Tilda from Sherry Baldy this week and here is what I created:

I don't have much in the way of Halloween paper but I did win a 6x6 paper pack of Halloween theme so I used that for my patterned papers. It's really hard to tell but I used Kirarina WiNK pens on her stockings to make them shiny and also on the pumpkin stem. I colored the rest of her in using my COPICs, added a little twine and a spare button to finish her off.

When I saw the amazing grace digi I knew that was the one for me! And the best part, I used up scraps for the entire card, including the card base. Crazy that I had a scrap that large huh..lol! But with the fall coming I wanted to use warm fall colors.

Fun~day Friday and Anything Goes!

Sorry I didn't get my post done last week...our branch office moved (which is just me!) and I took a 3-day certification class. I am so glad it's a new week :)  Only my fellow crafters can understand how good it felt to sit down and do my project this week. I think I was having crafting withdrawal after missing last week!

First I want to introduce our newest DT sister to you - Michelle over at Majestic Memories!! Please be sure to stop by her blog and give her a warm welcome! She has been scrapbooking for many years...and yes, I am a little partial to her work, we went to high school together. One of the things I love about scrapbooking, is reconnecting with people. We ran into each at a crop and have been croppin' together ever since :)

I found this beautiful image, Simply Beautiful, on the LBBS website.

My initial try was to do a photo transfer of the image, which I haven't done before. Needless to say I need to work with it a few times before I have anything to post about...lol! I took some amazing classes with Jen Star recently where I learned the technique and was going to photo transfer it into my art journal on one of the pages we did in class.  But...instead I will just paste this page into my art journal. If you have the opportunity to take classes with her, I highly recommend it!
