Jo's Scrap Shack Turns 6!!!!

I am super excited to announce that 

Jo's Scrap Shack turns 6 this month! 

And I am even more excited to be one of her Blogaversary Designers! 

Here is a birthday layout I created to help celebrate. The layout design is 

from a Close to My Heart Hostess Club that I belonged to (and really, 

really miss participating in!). Here is the "cover" of the two-page spread:

Each page has pages underneath by using the Flip Flaps from Close to My Hear

On the left page it opens up to:

And on the right page the "cake" is all Flip Flaps that open to:

And finally they reveal the inside of the right page!

My mom had three birthday celebrations that year so I needed room for 

LOTS of pictures...LOL! And the last picture is of all three August 

birthdays in my family cutting their cakes. Yes, I was crazy enough

to get them each their own favorite cake (although turns out my BIL 

gave me his favorite, not my sister's...LOL!).

Fun~day Friday #144

The challenge starts today, Friday, June 24th at 12:00 AM (eastern time) and ends Friday, July 1st at 6:00 PM (eastern time). And here is what I created using Limited Run's Garden Cupcake. 

So this one was a little hard for me. My plan when I picked this adorable digi was to use it fo to r my mom's birthday party this year. But instead I used it for last year's photos of her birthday at church. Each year I host coffee hour in honor of her birthday and do something special. Last year was an ice cream bar! I had four different types of ice cream and lots and lots of toppings! And no sundae is complete without whipped topping. Mom loved it last year. I've also done ice cream cake, a cookie bar and a cupcake bar. This year I was going to do a few different cakes.
