Fun~day Friday!

Image
Good morning everyone! I'm very excited for this weekend. I am heading out to Joys of Life Scrapbook store in Mechanicsburg, PA for the weekend to take some classes with Jen Star! Can't wait to learn new techniques and get messy :)

So here are the details for this week's challenge: Our sponsor this week isLittle Blue Button Stamps. The challenge starts Friday, September 18th at 12:00 AM (eastern time) and ends Friday, September 25th at 6:00 PM (eastern time). And our theme for this week is this Boy to Men:  I used the Simon on Bike digi for this week. He is colored using my COPICs. After mounting him on the green paper I ran a foil sheet thru the embossing folder. I love the foil sheets instead of tin foil since it has adhesive on the back and is slightly thicker. I just find them easier to work with. I mounted him a little higher up instead of in the middle since I want to add a sentiment to the bottom still. I am actually going to use him on a scrapbook page for my…

Fun~day Friday!

So how was everyone's Labor Day? Mine was really relaxing. I was able to scrap some, spent some time with good friends, and even had time for me to relax.
So here are the details for this week's challenge: Our sponsors this week are A Day for Daisies and Bugaboo. The challenge starts Friday, September 11th at 12:00 AM (eastern time) and ends Friday, September 18th at 6:00 PM (eastern time). And our theme for this week is this sketch:  I decided to make this layout into a scrapbook page because of the image I choose from ADFD - Garden Chair. It was their freebie last month and I just had to get it for this image. Here is what I created with it: I belong to our local Woman's Club and we did some yard work for the Ronald McDonald House in our area. It was so much fun, we had a fabulous day. And the people there were wonderful. The paper I used is the brand new Sangria paper pack from Close to My Heart! I just fell in love with this paper pack and just couldn't wai…

Simply Saturday

Image
I have been really bad about posting for Simply Saturday...just having too much fun this summer. I apologize to everyone.

If you haven't checked out the Close to My Heart Cricut cartridges you really should! So far I only have the Artbooking cartridge and really love it. It has some amazing backgrounds so I decided to create a stencil with one of the backgrounds. Here is the stencil I created:
This was really super easy to create!! I used a cheap Dollar Store cutting mat (they come 2 in a package for $1.00). I used the heavy blade and had the cut run three times. A good friend suggested using painters tape on the edges to be extra sure the mat stays down. Then I inked over the stencil on a piece of white paper. This was just too much fun to create!
I can't wait to create  more with the great backgrounds they have on the cartridge! Actually I have some old photos of playing with my oldest niece and I think it might be the perfect paper for it.

Thanks so much for stopping by and…

I just can't believe it's September already! I feel like the summer went by so quickly...and now it's officially gone :(  But time for a new season. I do love seeing the colors change on the leaves and am looking forward to that...but not to the snow that comes after that.
So here are the details for this week's challenge: Our sponsor this week is Little Blue Button Stamps. The challenge starts Friday, September 4th at 12:00 AM (eastern time) and ends September, 11th at 6:00 PM (eastern time). And our theme for this week is Anything Goes!
I love Anything Goes! Anything is possible :)  I love seeing what everyone creates. I used the LBBS Vintage Recipe Cards for my creation this week.
When you buy the set you get all six of these recipe cards...aren't they adorable!!! I am working on a family recipe album (or at least my family favorites...lol!). I printed them all at about 5-3/4 x 5-3/4 so I could layer them on a 6x6 piece of paper. And here is my first pag…
