Fun~day Friday

Image
I hope everyone who celebrates had a nice Thanksgiving! I had a great time. We hosted an open dinner at church...and I have a ton of leftovers. It was all I could do to get my post ready. I am in that relaxed mode after a large holiday dinner!
So here are the details for this week's challenge: Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo. The challenge starts Friday, November 27th at 12:00 AM (eastern time) and ends Friday, December 4th at 6:00 PM (eastern time). And our theme for this week is Anything Goes!
I used the Autumn Jar digi for this one. Isn't it a fantastic digi! I was in a Close to My Heart card class last weekend and made the base for this card. When I saw it I new it would be perfect for this digi! I love taking the CTHM card and layout classes. I find they are really inspirational in getting my projects done. I actually want to color another of these digi's for my Thanksgiving picture from today.

I love seeing what everyone creates for the Fun~day Friday chall…

Grateful for Fun~day Friday

I can't believe that next week is Thanksgiving already...yikes! I hope everyone has the opportunity to spend some time with family and special friends next week. I have to admit, I am Grateful that the weather has held out and has been fairly warm :)
So here are the details for this week's challenge: Our sponsors this week are Little Blue Button Stamps and Bugaboo. The challenge starts Friday, November 20th at 12:00 AM (eastern time) and ends Friday, November 27th at 6:00 PM (eastern time). And our theme for this week is Gratitude! I used the Teacup Fairy digi from LBBS for this one. I decided to do a slightly different take on Gratitude. As opposed to a Thanksgiving Gratitude I thought a simple thank you card to send to someone who does something nice this time of year would be appropriate. The glitter paper is absolutely stunning in person! I bought this paper pack during a Shop Hop. The cover doesn't do it justice but I don't think you want to see each piec…

So here are the details for this week's challenge: Our sponsor this week is A Day for Daisies. The challenge starts Friday, November 13th at 12:00 AM (eastern time) and ends Friday, November 20th at 6:00 PM (eastern time). And our theme for this week is Anything Goes!
I choose Bed Head Sister for this Anything Goes challenge. Isn't she fun...and some mornings I feel this is what my hair looks like...lol!
I decided I had to add her her to my art journal. So after printing out the digi on regular paper I traced the digi onto deli paper I got from Joys of Life Scrapbooking. I started the background at one of the art classes at JOLS by cleaning off my sponges on a blank page and just built it up from there when I was ready to use my page.  The background actually has some nice blues and yellows in it but for some reason I couldn't get it to photograph well. The color in the raised stencils is done with Ken Oliver's Color Burst by adding it to my whipped spackle be…

Fun~day Friday is Sketchy Again!

Happy November everyone! The leaves in Central Jersey really started to fall yesterday. I went out in the back yard and all of a sudden the patio was covered in leaves!
So here are the details for this week's challenge: Our sponsors this week are Little Blue Button Stamps and Di's Digis. The challenge starts Friday, November 6th at 12:00 AM (eastern time) and ends Friday, November 13th at 6:00 PM (eastern time). And our theme for this week is this sketch:   And here is what I created using the Vintage Paper Set from LBBS. This is the first time I've used a set of digital papers...and I love it! I love that I can cut one piece of paper up to use as embellishments and if I want to reprint it to use it again...I can. So all I used was the Vintage Paper Set and two coordinating scraps to create my card. My stamp is from 3Twenty and I don't even remember purchasing the brads I used but found them in my stash.

I love seeing what everyone creates for the Fun~day Frida…
