Fun~day Friday #153

Sorry I didn't get anything posted last week. I have a new puppy and she is keeping me very busy!! She is an 8 month old lab  from a rescue. She has discovered there are cucumbers and canteloupes growing in the garden this week...and she is picking her own...lol!
So far it's Jemma 4. Garden 0. I figure it doesn't stand a chance...lol!

The challenge starts today, Friday, August 26th at 12:00 AM (eastern time) and ends Friday, September 2nd at 6:00 PM (eastern time). And here is what I created using Gardening Charlie from Little Blue Button Stamps. 
 I used my new Brother Scan nCut to cut out the digi image. It works so wonderful!! I colored Charlie with my COPICs and the paper is some CTMH that I had in my stash.
I haven't put a title on the second page yet as I'm not positive yet what I want to put. Mom's flowers came up beautifully this year so I can't wait to print and showcase them in my scrapbook.

Our team this week is Team B. Our sponsor this week is the Cutting Cafe. And our theme this week is Recycled Scraps!

The challenge starts today, Friday, August 12th at 12:00 AM (eastern time) and ends Friday, August 19th at 6:00 PM (eastern time). And here is what I created using the Snowman Family Shaped Card.    

So after fussy cutting this card I was wishing I had played with my new Scan n Cut more last weekend...lol! I think using that would  make it super easy to assemble a bunch of these, which would make wonderful Christmas cards. The card itself is just the snowmen...really adorable! At first I just scanned it but you could really see the edges...lol! So I put a piece of blue paper behind it. A number of different options for drssing up the snowmen and cutting the card come with the file!

Fun~day Friday #150

Our team this week is Team A. Our sponsor this week is Robyn's Fetish. And our theme this week is a Color Challenge - Blue, Purple and White!
The challenge starts today, Friday, August 5th at 12:00 AM (eastern time) and ends Friday, August 12th at 6:00 PM (eastern time). And here is what I created using Santa.   
Purple is my favorite color. And I have to admit, I just love using the blue and purple together for a Christmas card! All the paper was from my scraps stash. I felt like playing with crayons this week so I used them to color in Santa and added Stickles to Santa's beard, hat, cuffs and belt to give him a little bling. You can't see in too well but I inked the paper edges in purple also.

Fun~day Friday #149

Our team this week is Team B. Our sponsors this week are Di's Digis and Little Blue Button Stamps. And our theme this week is Anything Goes!!!


The challenge starts today, Friday, July 29th at 12:00 AM (eastern time) and ends Friday, August 5th at 6:00 PM (eastern time). And here is what I created using Peony.  
My mom and I were given a beautiful peony plant when we moved into the house so I will use pictures of it on the layout. Of course it just seems to be my luck that when I go out to take a picture the blooms are off :(   So...once it blooms again I will get good photos of it. And this page will be the 2nd half to a layout that also includes Fun~day Friday #162...so stay tuned to see the other half :)  I used the retired CTMH Chantilly paper pack and embellishments for this and colored the peony in with my COPICs.

Thankful Thursday

Our office is moving across the street into out new building...and out of the flood zone! I am very thankful for the guys who came and moved the boxes and desks and shelves and filing cabinets yesterday.  If I had to do all that...I would still be there...lol!

Fun~day Friday #148

Our team this week is Team A. Our sponsor this week is Scrappers Delight. And our theme this week is a Challenge - Coral, Tan and Aqua!
The challenge starts today, Friday, July 22nd at 12:00 AM (eastern time) and ends Friday, July 29th at 6:00 PM (eastern time). And here is what I created using Under the Sea.  
It's a little hard to see in the photo but the chest is tan and the seashell is a light coral with a tan (liquid) pearl in the center, And of course the background paper is a beautiful aqua...and almost the last of my stash of this line :(   I really had so much fun with this layout and challenge!! I am going to be giving this page to my one sister. She and my BIL brought my mom down to see me when I was living in Florida and we went to go visit my mom's cousins and got a nice picture before her cousin's wife passed away. I figure my sister will want to journal her memories so I left the journaling box blank.
